GTA VI World Guide: Confirmed Leonida Locations and What Rockstar Has Shown

Reviewed October 24, 2026: GTA VI remains scheduled for November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. The October 15 Launch Trailer is now part of Rockstar’s current media library.

GTA VI World Guide: Confirmed Leonida Locations and What Rockstar Has Shown

Rockstar has now published a substantial official visual record of GTA VI's world. Its screenshot library contains dedicated groups for multiple parts of Leonida, allowing confirmed locations to be separated from speculative community maps.

Vice City

Vice City remains the most prominent named destination.

Rockstar's current screenshot collection contains numerous images specifically labeled for Vice City.

Leonida Keys

The Leonida Keys have their own official screenshot collection.

They are also tied directly to Jason's background and Brian Heder's criminal activity.

Port Gellhorn

Rockstar has published multiple official screenshots labeled Port Gellhorn.

This establishes Port Gellhorn as a distinct named part of the world rather than a fan-created location name.

Ambrosia

Ambrosia has its own official images in Rockstar's GTA VI media collection.

The location is also included in Rockstar's broader People & Places material.

Grassrivers

Grassrivers is another officially named region with dedicated screenshots.

Its inclusion adds a different environmental identity to the broader Leonida setting.

Mount Kalaga National Park

Rockstar has released several screenshots labeled for Mount Kalaga National Park.

This confirms a named national-park region inside the larger world.

Official World Evidence

The strongest evidence for the GTA VI map currently comes from Rockstar's own:

  • People & Places pages.
  • Location screenshots.
  • Official artwork.
  • Trailers.
  • Extended Look.

Confirmed Does Not Mean Fully Mapped

Rockstar has confirmed these destinations, but it has not necessarily published:

  • The exact boundaries of every region.
  • The full road network.
  • Every neighborhood name.
  • Every interior location.
  • The final complete world map.

Be Careful With Community Maps

Fan maps often combine trailer frames, screenshots and educated guesses.

Those projects can be interesting, but estimated road layouts or region boundaries should not be described as official until Rockstar verifies them.

World Variety

The names and imagery released by Rockstar show that Leonida includes:

  • A major city.
  • An island-chain region.
  • Named coastal and inland destinations.
  • Wetland-style environments.
  • A national-park region.

Story Connections

Rockstar has tied several characters directly to parts of the world.

Jason's past is connected to the Keys, while Vice City's business, entertainment and criminal scenes connect to characters such as Boobie Ike, Dre'Quan Priest and Real Dimez.

Why Location Names Matter

Named locations provide a more reliable foundation for search and guide pages than generic claims such as “huge map” or “all of Florida.”

Rockstar refers specifically to the fictional state of Leonida.

Do Not Call Unconfirmed Areas Official

If a place name comes only from a fan map, alleged leak or visual interpretation, it should remain labeled as unconfirmed.

Current Official Location List

  • Vice City.
  • Leonida Keys.
  • Port Gellhorn.
  • Ambrosia.
  • Grassrivers.
  • Mount Kalaga National Park.

More Locations May Be Revealed

Rockstar can publish additional areas before or after launch.

This guide should therefore be updated from Rockstar's official materials rather than expanded from speculation.

GTA VI's confirmed world already extends across multiple distinct Leonida locations. Rockstar's own screenshots and People & Places pages provide enough evidence to identify several regions reliably, while the exact full map should remain unclaimed until Rockstar publishes it.
