Announcement-stage guide, checked October 21, 2026. Check the Update 2.5 rollout overview and your installed game version before using the new features.
Update 2.5: plan appearance spending separately
Review new appearance purchases separately from the upgrades your build needs. Inspect displayed costs in your installed game and decide which goal matters first. The Glamdocs guide explains the new appearance feature; the update overview lists announced clothing vendors. No fixed prices or new money exploit are claimed here.
Cyberpunk 2077 Money Tips: Build Budgets, Vendors & Version Checks
Choose the next improvement before spending eddies: a weapon role, cyberware change or another purchase you intend to use. A clear target makes it easier to compare a shopping trip with improving equipment you already own.
Check which rules your version uses
CD PROJEKT RED's Update 2.0 reworked the economy on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Vendor stock scales with level, and many prices changed. Do not apply a pre-2.0 shopping list or profit loop to a 2.x save without checking the actual menu.
Budget for the whole build
Compare the intended weapon with the perks, cyberware and play style supporting it. Buying a new item does not resolve a build that cannot use its role effectively. Keep room in the budget for the improvement that addresses your main combat limitation.
Choose what to do with duplicate loot
Inspect the current sale value and any crafting material you would recover before deciding. Keep useful or unique equipment separate from disposable copies. Judge the tradeoff against the upgrade you are actually planning instead of selling or dismantling everything automatically.
Use jobs as a route with a purpose
Pick a manageable cluster of jobs and inspect the rewards and requirements shown in your playthrough. Include travel, failures and preparation when deciding whether it is useful progress. A headline payout in another person's video is not a fixed return for your current character.
Review after the purchase
Test the improvement in an encounter you understand. If the same problem remains, identify whether the cause is positioning, a missing perk interaction or a tool you are not using. Avoid immediately spending the rest of the reserve on another unrelated item.
This guide provides a normal-play budget. It does not claim a fastest farm, a duplication exploit or a permanent buy-and-sell profit formula.
