What is Welcome to Paradise?
The announced side quest combines a Night City mystery with a tour narrated by Richard Night. Its prerequisites are The Heist completion and Street Cred 15.
Check Street Cred, not an assumed substitute
Read the progression display on the playthrough you plan to continue. Check the named requirement directly rather than assuming that a different progression number, a strong weapon or progress on another character proves eligibility. Then review the story mission in the journal.
Prepare the playthrough
- Confirm that Update 2.5 is available and installed on your edition.
- Load the save you want to explore with.
- Check the story prerequisite in that save's journal.
- Check the Street Cred display.
- Use the game's new quest information and directions when they appear.
The public announcement is an unlock reference, not a complete route map. It does not establish an exact starting street, a forced-start button sequence or every reward. Following the released game's own prompts is more reliable than treating a guessed location as a confirmed starting point.
Choose how much story detail you want
A mystery and a narrated tour are good reasons to separate an unlock guide from a spoiler-heavy walkthrough. If you only need to know whether your save is ready, stop after checking the requirements. Once you begin, use the journal and listen to the narration before seeking a solution that may reveal the mystery.
Keep the new quests distinct
This quest and Clampdown are separate additions. Use each guide's own prerequisite checklist instead of transferring one quest's requirements to the other. Keeping separate notes also helps when you are deciding which activity to pursue first on a returning playthrough.
