What enables dual-wielding?
CDPR places Double Trouble in Cool, alongside four supporting perks. The announced weapon pairing applies to Power pistols and revolvers. Treat that category as the starting point when checking weapons you already own.
Check the weapon before spending resources
Open the item's information in your game and read its category. A weapon's appearance, name or rarity is not enough to establish whether it fits the announced pairing. The useful question is whether the released perk and the weapon's displayed category agree.
Keep your existing weapon-upgrade decisions separate from a new playstyle experiment. First decide whether you enjoy the released combat loop. Review the build as a whole
The existing build guide covers Attributes, Perks and cyberware as connected choices. Use that framework to review a dual-wield experiment: what is the plan for damage, movement, staying alive and recovering when surrounded? Carrying an extra firearm does not answer those questions by itself.
Before changing progression, inspect the perk's actual requirements and descriptions in the installed version. Record what you changed so you can compare it with the previous loadout. The public announcement is not a full perk-tree calculator and does not supply every supporting perk's numbers.
Use a short comparison routine
- Keep a familiar loadout as a reference.
- Check the released perk and each weapon's category.
- Use a repeatable encounter or practice situation you know.
- Compare control, reload rhythm, positioning and survivability.
- Adjust one supporting choice before repeating the comparison.
Controller commands
Use the control mapping shown by the installed game. The official notes do not provide a dedicated dual-wield button sequence. The controller reference remains useful for established actions, while any remapped or new action should be checked against the on-screen layout.
